Thank you for your interest in We Go Way Back® for your family history project. Due to overwhelming interest, the waiting list for all services is closed.
Should openings become available, the New Client forms will be posted on this page (yes, right here!). Or, if you want to know about openings as soon as they appear, sign up for the We Go Way Back® newsletter! (Barely 3 emails a year, I’m not even sure that qualifies as a newsletter.)
If you need a genealogist right away, here are some of my favorite colleagues and businesses who may be able to help you, organized by specialty:
Jewish genealogy, non-Jewish Eastern European genealogy, Puerto Rican genealogy, and DNA (recent unknown parentage, adoptees, donor-conceived, etc.): Legacy Tree Genealogists. They do a little bit of everything at LTG. I am best acquainted with their Eastern European, Puerto Rican, and DNA departments, which are among the best in the business.
New York City and Long Island genealogy: Kerri Tannenbaum at Family Dot Connector LLC. Kerri is also knowledgeable about Irish families in New York.
East Asian genealogy: Grant Din (Chinese and Japanese) and Linda Harms Okazaki (Japanese). Both are also knowledgeable about families on the west coast of the United States.
Lineage societies (DAR, Colonial Dames, etc.): Bryna O’Sullivan at Charter Oak Genealogy. Bryna is also knowledgeable about families in Connecticut.
Please be advised that the above genealogists and companies may have their own waiting lists.
Very best,
Meryl Schumacker
